De Klang vum Chouer, kombinéiert mat der Kraaft vun der Harmonie an de faarwege Nuancë vum Orchester, huet dem Concert eng ganz speziell Atmosphär ginn. D’Resultat war e musikalescht Erliefnis, dat d’Matwierkend an de Public gläichermoosse beréiert huet.

With the concert project “Brass meets Voices”, the Maacher Chorale, together with the Harmonie Union Troisvierges and the orchestra L’Estro Armonico, took the audience on an extraordinary musical journey. The spectators enjoyed an afternoon filled with emotion, energy, and outstanding musical quality. At the same time, this concert marked the conclusion of a small national tour. After three successful performances in Ettelbruck and Ulflingen (Troisvierges), Grevenmacher was the fourth and final stop of the “Brass meets Voices” project.

A special highlight of the concert was the performance of internationally renowned euphonium soloist Glenn van Looy. With his virtuosic technique, expressive tone, and remarkable stage presence, he captivated the audience and created many memorable moments.

Throughout the concert, the choir, the wind band, the orchestra, and the soloist joined forces to create exceptional musical soundscapes. Well-known melodies from the world of film provided emotional and inspiring moments. Music from movies such as Gladiator, Avatar, The Lord of the Rings, and The Hunger Games filled the hall with powerful and impressive sounds.

Particularly noteworthy was the excellent collaboration between the different ensembles. The sound of the choir, combined with the strength of the wind band and the colorful nuances of the orchestra, gave the concert a truly unique atmosphere. The result was a musical experience that deeply touched both the performers and the audience.

The Maacher Chorale would like to express its sincere gratitude to all the musicians, conductors, volunteers, and, of course, the audience for their support and commitment. The positive feedback and the prolonged applause at the end of the concert clearly demonstrated that “Brass meets Voices” was a successful musical project that will undoubtedly remain a cherished memory for a long time to come.

A special thank you also goes to our conductor, Salome Harms-Sanchez, for embracing this new adventure with the Grevenmacher Municipal Choir, and to Tom Henkes, conductor of the Harmonie Union Troisvierges. As the project’s musical director, he successfully brought all the elements together and shaped them into a perfect Unity.
